Our Programme

Why Praxis?

Contribute to nation-building by creating equal life opportunities with inter-generational equity for the most marginalised communities in India -placement with the leadership of public administration to practice public policy in a live setting.

2 years of intensive applied learning programme where the academic content amounts to a 1-year post-graduate level course in public policy.

A fully funded residency program that covers field, as well as, work-related travel expenses.

Need for Praxis

PPIA Praxis has been guided by key reflections that have surfaced during our work with the public systems, particularly in resource-constrained geographies. For the poorest and the most vulnerable, a good government has the potential to build a society based on intergenerational equity and justice. Effectively, the PPIA Praxis Residency Programme is not just an academic programme, but also our commitment to the most marginalised communities that rely on access to public services as routes out of poverty.

Skilled and purpose-driven young professionals providing techno-managerial support and injecting fresh thinking and new ways of working with our public programmes.

Moving away from a one-size-fits-all approach, building solutions that address intersectional vulnerabilities and complexities within public administrations, particularly in the context of the most marginalised communities.

Strengthening systems and processes within public administration through the real-time application of academic frameworks and perspectives.

Integrating grassroots experiences into academic discourse promotes practical, nuanced, and reality-based knowledge in public policy.
